‘Autophobia’.
It took me a long time to finish this and for me to feel satisfied with what I had created. I originally used watercolour tubes and a lot of acrylics to produce the bright colours on the rough paper, then went over the detail with a thin fineliner and added pencil to achieve the more vibrant finish.
When I scanned it onto the computer I felt it was lacking a lot of depth and texture, so I chose to layer different prints/type on top and over it. The detail was drained once seen on a screen, so I adjusted the contrast to create deeper and more richer colours to accentate the lighter fine detailing - I used my graphics tablet for this.
:)
Another few pages. My so bad fail attempt at a stop sign drawing. Also interesting ink bubbly effect on acetate.
I had a dream that I drew something like this last night, so I decided to actually create it.
The colours are quite different from what I usually use, I normally have quite a dark palette - so this is a nice change. Obviously inspired by pop-art in repetition and the use of object. I don’t know if I like it or not.
I used photoshop, splat pack brush set and graphics tablet.

This is the front of a menu I designed in Visual Communications, in response to a clients brief requiring a menu.
I used illustrator and drew the cameras and the text, printing it off on to clear acetate. I then produced a water colour wash on cartridge with salt rocks to create multiple tones and textures. I layered the acetate over the cartridge for a collage like effect.
